Product Description
MAVS 3000 is a highly polymer-modified, factory blended mortar specifically designed for bonding thin natural and manufactured adhered veneers, lightweight precast, most tile, and thin brick. The mortar is a mixture of portland cement, dried polymers, fine aggregate, and other proprietary additives that give MAVS 3000 excellent workability and sag resistance with greater efflorescence resistance and bond strength than standard Type S or thin-set mortars. MAVS 3000’s advanced technology improves adhesion and is an excellent option for the most challenging masonry applications, such as large format and heavy veneers.
Manufactured with the highest quality control standards, MAVS 3000 exceeds ASTM C270, TMS 402/602 shear strength, and ANSI 118.15 requirements. It is available in grey and also a variety of standard and custom colors. MAVS 3000 is part of Omega’s Masonry Adhered Veneer Systems (MAVS) family of products backed by Omega’s system warranties.
BASIC USES
MAVS 3000 is designed to bond natural stone and manufactured masonry veneers (including large format and heavy veneers), most tile, thin brick, brick, stone and lightweight precast to solid surfaces such as concrete, brown coat, and masonry in residential and commercial, interior and exterior installations. May be used in submerged applications.
